Import ASCII to the new stage

Hello everyone, 

i got an issue while importing ASCII file to the stage. The file is imported to the stage two and it shows in stage one and two. As soon as i go to the stage two it says "no stage data exists" and there is no of any evaluation. 

How to work with stages and ASCII files propertly in ZEISS Inspect?

Hello Michael,

the ascii file is the actual data for the point cloud if I understand this correct? After import the software creates the element in the explorer, which has to be "filled" with data for every stage (like an individual mesh for each stage). So this behavior is normal for an actual element. It should however import to the active stage so I would expect the hint "missing data" in stage one from your description. If this is the case please contact your local support with this problem.

We solved this in the support case. For this application the points must be imported as a discrete point cloud. It's possible to edit the target type in the import filter.
