Alternative way to get tangent intersection point

I don't like having to resort to finding the tangency point of the intersection of a circle and line. There can be a situation that they do not intersect.

What creative ways can we get this intersection point?

You could use the command "Construct-> Point -> Construct Projection Point" to project the circle center onto the line.
