I have aligned CAD and Mesh file. How can I export the set (both files aligned) so I can use it in any CAD software (like Solidworks)?

Thanks

You can export the mesh aligned no problem. When you export it it is in whatever alignment is currently active.  As for CAD , you cant rexport this file in a cad native .  However you would already have this file in order for the project to exist so no need to reexport.

Hope this helps?

Hello.
If you have created a datum system and this is entered (always automatically) when exporting, the STL will not be exported to absolute zero coordinate. It is then aligned with the local reference system.
You then have to select the “Global coordinate system” below. Then the mesh lies exactly on the CAD.

Export 1.jpg

Export 2.jpg

One additional hint: We only preselect this coordinate system (datum system) if you have enabled this coordinate system for viewing.

this isnt possible.  The mesh generated by the software can be exported in stl only.  In order to create cad from mesh you need reverse engineering tools.

Sections through mesh can be exported as iges that can be useful to guide reverse engineering.
