The transformation into the measuring project is not possible (Error MProbe-0007)

Hello,

1. "The transformation into the measuring project is not possible (Error MProbe-0007)".
   I get this error I never got before while trying to add a cylinder into my project with a touch probe (see attached picture).  Any idea what this could be caused by?
2. An other problem I often get with the touch probe is a message saying that the probe is too far away from the components it is supposed to be tacked to. Sometimes I get this error even when I feel that the probe is quite in the center of the component. Are there any general trick some of you might have found that help to reduce the risk of getting that problem?
