From experience...

1. There type of hardware issues maybe similiar but they cannot for sure be known as 'the same'

2. Fundamentally Nanno is right that hardware issues like this really need diagnosis...however if everyone was honest the GOMSic in these cicumstances can not really say a whole lot with certainty.

3. These all are most like (90 percent plus) connection issues .   Your connection path is: PC - network card - sensor cable - internal sensor ethernet switch - internal cables - cameras.

If any one of this chain is disrupted then a similar error can occur...yes the GOMsic may help your support team to narrow it down a little , but 99 times out of 100 thr path to resolution is by completing hardware swap out tests to determine the break in the chain. I

Also in terms of likelyhood , the external cable link between pc and sensor is most vulnerable and indeed the easiest to test .  Get yourself a standard cat5 ethernet cable , try this out.  If it works then you have identified the culprit and maybe get a situation where you can work again.

I hope this helps in some way

its been a while and hope you are doing well!  As you know im no longer at gom/zeiss but i do interact on the forum like this.  It is a shame that you feel it is easier to reach out here now rather than pick up the phone to the local team..

For me if youve tried new external ethernet cables , new pc network card /pc ( and assume that the network settings were correct in this test) , then as per my connection path explanation next guess would be internal camera network switch.

Hopefully nanno can help get some local traction for you as this switch is not something you can exchange yourself.
