[Sa...]
Greetings, I have been using ARAMIS Pro 2016 6M system for a while with two cameras. Recently, I started getting high calibration deviation (about 0.065 Pixels instead of less than 0.05 Pixels). I used different calibration tiles and the issue is still the same. I checked the focus of the cameras, the distance between the cameras, the distance of measurement, the crosshairs at the center point, etc but still, the issue persists. What is the primary aspect that is directly related to this higher deviation? or am I missing something? Also, why does the Height Variance change a lot between calibrations even though there are no height changes in my calibration? I tried to find in the user manual what "Height Variance" correlates to but didn't find anything useful. Please suggest what I should be doing to improve the deviation. Thanks in advance. [Iv...]
Hello, your main problem is the size of the calibration object in comparison to the measuring volume. Let's make it clear in the very first calibration position. You want to have a 325 width but only fill out nearly 250. So you have space that doesn't contain information for the calibration. Same behavior in the other positions. You can use a bigger panel or reduce your measuring volume. The last option would be to work with the fact that the edges are not so accurate. [Sa...]
Dear Ivan, I will use a bigger calibration panel today to see if that resolves my issue. For the edges to be more accurate, I think I should increase the light intensity to reduce the capture time. Maybe I am having some motion blur. I will look into this. Are you familiar with the "Height Variance"? Why is it changing after each calibration even though I'm not altering my height? Thanks for your quick reply. Appreciate it. -San
