After creating a nominal plane on my CAD body and applying the Fitting Element measuring principle, I applied a Flatness check. I also came across a check called 'Flat form distortion error' which gets renamed to 'D_Form.Pla.D95%' under the inspection label.

Could someone please explain what this check is? I can't seem to find any information on what it measures.

Only a short answer: This is part of the ISO 10360-13 acceptance test, i.e. it will be used for the acceptance test of our ATOS sensors. In short it is kind of a flatness test, that only use 95% of the points. It should not be used for normal inspection either it was required from the creator of technical drawing.

More details about acceptance test can be found inside the mentioned standard or you could contact your local partner.
