It is very frustrating having all of the free, cheap, hobbyist, FOSS, etc, apps I use support 3MF then need to convert to STL to use GOM Inspect. This seems like a pretty ridiculous feature to restrict from the free version. Like I said it is becoming the standard and used in all kinds of FOSS, community developed, and other free software.
