[Ow...]
I guess I could post this in either of the categories , but here it is. It's been a long time since I needed to combine curve reports and the last time I did it was with the Graphics Element that they removed from Calypso. I'm not that keen on PiWeb, so does anybody have any quick instruction documents on how to combine the curve form reports into one?
[Ma...]
You can switch to show mini version in main protocol ( i think something with switching row template ) and enabling it on characteristic table. But that old one was much more superior
[No...]
You can easily get the old graphics element back if you install the Basic Reporter package from the Calypso installl archive. This needs to be done only once.
[To...]
Please sign in to view this quote. Open up Multiple Report. You should see StandardProtocol as your default template. Click the pencil icon lower right. Dialog box will let you know you can't edit a default template but can save a new "generic" template available for use with any program. For this example, let's save the template as StandardProtocol_Plots. PiWeb editor will open. If editor doesn't open, look for blue icon on task bar. In editor, go to tabs on left side and select Pages. You'll see a page that is for plots with a line thru the 3 label. The line indicates that page is hidden from use. Right-click on the page and un-select Hidden. Click Save icon and close. While still in Multiple Report window, click the ellipsis ( ... ) icon next to the pencil icon and select the StandardProtocol_Plots template. Close the Multiple Report window. In Characteristics Settings window, you can turn on or off any plots that you want to display. You can also activate the plot within the characteristic. You will have to select this template on any new program. If you use a program template, you can activate the StandardProtocol_Plot template and it will always be loaded with a program you start with the template. If you want this to be the default template, copy and paste it from the generic templates folder. C:\Users\Public\Documents\Zeiss\CALYPSO 7.6\protocol\PiWebReportingTemplates and paste it into the default templates folder. C:\Program Files (x86)\Zeiss\CALYPSO 7.6\PiWebReportingTemplates In the default templates folder, delete StandardProtocol template and rename StandardProtocol_Plots to StandardProtocol. Any time you update Calypso or re-install Calypso, the original StandardProtocol template will overwrite your customized version, so I would just keep a copy of StandardProtocol_Plots in the default folder so you can easily recover it. Hope this helps.

However, following the installation manual, it says it can be found in the installation medium under tools, but when I load the installation medium and select tools, there is no Basic Reporting directory available to choose from? Tom, I don't see how your suggestion would help combine four different curve plots into one. Plus, the plot #3 plot doesn't show to be hidden in my system using the page editor. What I'm trying to do is combine four different curve forms and in the graphics element, you could choose all four, group them and they would all four be displayed in the relative position, In the pic I've attached, I show a 5 curve form plots that I was able to combine with the graphics element, probably 10 years ago but it worked great. Sorry for the late reply. I do appreciate each and all for helping. I'm only working on this as time is available and it's not a priority.
[Th...]
What Zeiss calls the installation medium is the whole zipped software package. You have to run the basic reporting installer manually from there. Worth noting that if you upgrade to 2024 (or later) that you'll have to do this again, because there's a 64 bit build of the basic reporter shipped with it. Also, having this installed doesn't give back the menu option for new graphics elements. If you're trying to add them to a program, you need to copy and paste existing elements from other programs and then edit them.basicreporting.JPG

Oh it does, if you activate the "secret" compatibility option that Zeiss unfortunately forgot to communicate to the public. But you have to do that for every measurement plan (or use the option to modify several plans at once).
[To...]
Please sign in to view this quote. Honestly, I was wondering if that's what you were trying to do.... Let me work on this. This leads me to think that maybe Zeiss you incorporate some "wizards", or even AI, to automate certain common tasks, like your application, in PiWeb. Just answer some questions and BAM, there's your page with 4 plots.
[Ow...]
Thomas Gorman, Norbert Bendl, Tom Oakes Thomas Gorman , the good news is that I downloaded it before trying what I misinterpreted as the installation medium. It didn’t work then because I didn’t know about the compatibility option Norbert Bendl mentioned and now it does work using Calypso 7.6 (2023). It truly is amazing the support offered here by Zeiss and users with thousands of hours of experience. Tom Oakes, I do look forward to seeing if you come up with a PiWeb solution, a solution that you don’t have to buy the advanced version of because, who knows when going back to the graphics option won’t be available in newer versions.
