[Ri...]
I remember this happening almost 8 months ago, but never got back to it. Now that I have a new MSR 2.0 probe rack, I hold 12 XTR probes, I created a probe qualification program but every time it ends, the CMM moves to Z axis home and alarms out. What is causing this? [To...]
Did you create a base alignment? If so, try building your program without one and no clearance cube. Run from characteristics list, position points only, clear existing results, current alignment.
[Cl...]
I had a similar situation. It turned out to be a CNC end park position, I forgot about.

(yes) I have never used Position Points for Qualification programs. Clear existing results (yes). Current alignment (yes). I will have to run one probe and see what happens tomorrow. [Ri...]
Please sign in to view this quote. It is a new program, there is no End Park position.

You can't have a clearance cube without a base alignment so you must have entered the BA window and closed it without populating any degrees of freedom. However, the program thinks XYZ zero is at the home position, which makes the +Z clearance plane above the Z+ limit of the machine. The stylus system wants to go to the +Z clearance plane at the end of every program. Using Use Position Points Only, ignores the clearance cube. The probe qualification macro will run safely without the cube.
