Easy way to update or recalculate charectersitc geometry?

When feature geometry is changed the characteristic geometry does not update, but If I go into the characteristic unselect the feature and reselect it the nominal value will update. This is very annoying and time consuming, I have several programs with 100ish characteristics I need to do this with, does anyone have a trick?

A specific example, I have a hole that has an X value characteristic, a Y value characteristic, and a position. When I moved the feature geometry in X and Y the characteristic geometry does not update the nominal until I trick it.

Something to know when using those settings.
If your geometry is not pure, whatever the nominal calculates to in the characteristic, you won't be allowed to change it.
Calypso will pop up an error dialog box, can't recall the message.
