SSC-Create and register new Stylus

You mean a new (non-standard) stylus element in the SSC editor?
You can't add anything to the database yourself, because the formats of the geometry data as well as the database are proprietary. I think Zeiss does add customer-specific elements on request, but of course this is not for free.
You can however construct your own stylus from generic elements (hint: generic spheres can be defined as a ruby tip) and save it for later use. It can be imported and connected to a joint like any other element.

Well, there's nothing you can do about that. Except discuss with Zeiss why standard elements are missing from the db.
They may be able to provide a newer version of the db.

If you have a component that is not available in the SSC, please contact Zeiss Applications Support and let us know the part number. A simple request to our colleagues in Germany will result in a file that will import into the ssc.
