Exporting mesh with inspected data into CAD software

I would like to export a mesh with additional information (such as points, coordinate system, inspected elements that ATOS creates) into our CAD software so I can do further design iterations. Is there a way (or roundabout way) to achieve this? STLs cannot hold additional information, so bringing a mesh STL into a CAD software renders it useless without a way to align it to a CAD model, at the very minimum.

I know it is possible to export certain selected elements with ASCII and import those back into another GOM project, maybe that could work with the other CAD software. (certain elements will not be exportable)
