[Ri...]
I tend to use the Modify CAD Model dialog quite a bit. When one is hiding or deleting entities from the Hierarchy, it needs a progress bar. Basically, the same progress bar as deleting a file. That is all. 😃 Edit: It took 27 minutes to Hide 6,137 entities.
[Ma...]
It would be much faster if it would not redraw everything after each one hide/delete. ZEISS -> just redraw after hiding/deletion.

[Za...]
Rick, On the Portal, there is a dedicated page called My Voice. I suggest you post this request for improvement there! At the bottom of the page, you can submit suggestions. https://portal.zeiss.com/my-voice/software/metrology

[Ma...]
Please sign in to view this quote. It wasn't meant as todo for you - it was meant for ZEISS to correct their approach to ACIS "thing" 😉
[Je...]
Please sign in to view this quote. . Rick, have them buy you a real computer 🤣. I kid, I kid. Having a computer with a high-end CPU, RAM and graphics card does take Calypso to a whole new level, though. Zeiss should definitely improve the ACIS processes in Calypso, but I find that I am far more efficient as a programmer with a powerful computer. You could've literally fileshared your measurement plan with me, had me open it and hide your CAD entities, and I send it back to you faster than the 27 minutes it took your current computer to do it. . . I bet you won't feel difference with i3 or i5, since Calypso won't use more than 4 threads. 🧑💻 🤠
[Je...]
Please sign in to view this quote. . Thanks for your thoughts, Martin. My standard workflow is Calypso + SolidWorks + other productivity apps. While multithreading offers diminishing returns for CPU-bound applications like Calypso, which rely heavily on sequential calculations, the priority for this build was single-thread performance—and the i9-13900KS absolutely delivers. I did extensive research into specs and build optimization before pushing for this setup. It does things with Calypso that Zeiss’s own design team might not even realize are possible, especially compared to those still testing on underpowered laptops. Metrology software is often stifled to accommodate weaker hardware. It's invigorating to see what is possible when we take the governor off the engine and dare to test limits set too conservatively. .
