Anyone else miss the update features video from Gunter that would go through all the new features? That was helpful.

Installing now..

Appears parallel installs are ok, but there is the new licensing format.

Also during install it appears it removing SQL 2017 without even asking if I would like to keep it... 🙄

Hope this doesnt foul up my 2023 install...we'll see.

Does anyone know where I can download the complete version of the new licensing FAQ? The link in the download portal only shows the title page with the questions, but has no answers.

Hello

When you open Newest ZLMT 2024 (1.1) and then click on Help, There is a manual that gives you all the information on Licensing.

I unfortunately for me have a multi version system.
On my offline seat I use v2017 and v2022.
What affect can this have on either install?

Hello Robert, i would try restarting the computer and then try to install sql 2022 again, also when installing SQL you need to run it as admin.

You can install SQL 2022 separately first then install calypso. location for SQL 2022 in Calypso 2024 installation files is

I did a restart and tried separetly and still didn't work. I have a ticket in with our IT deparment, in case they have something going on that is preventing the install. I have local admin rights to all our CMM's and offline seats, and even tried running as admin option but still getting that error.

Not sure if it matters, but IT replied they are working to update their SQL server. Not sure how the company server affects a local install.

Anybody received their license for this yet?

Day 3 - still nothing; portal say in progress.

I have MARX dongle.

Thanks,

Chris

Hello Malig

you can make a new ticket and let us know the serial numbers you want access to and we would add you to that contract on portal and then you should be able to see your licenses, or your company contract owner now have access to manage permissions also, you can ask them to add you so you can access your licenses.

This is why I protest having our CMMs networked...we only have 2, and it isn't necesary.
...that and an IT update that was pushed through, somehow, fried our SEM a few years ago.

Well this went poorly.
I did create a system restore point, but for an unknown reason, the system cant find it.
SQL install failed leaving my offline seat incapable of running either version of Calypso.
Not too happy right now.

You should be able to reinstall SQL 2017 on your offline seat. I keep my downloads for all versions, so I just went into the folder where the SQL 2017 installer was, in the Calypso 2023 download, and reinstalled SQL 2017. I am back to being able to use my older versions again. I am still on 2022.
