I don't see any problem here. Pic. 7-17 is not in question here right?
So in pic. 7-18 there is this:

• Due (M) on base B you can more move if you have smaller diameter
• With (M) on TP you gain bonus if you have bigger holes
• With all that you gain movement and rotation to get patterned TP

Where is your problem? If you don't know counterpart, then you can not tell it's wrong.

What about this - post completely dimensioned drawing with lengths and diameters and then show us how it is marked by machine as ok, but assembly fails. Those drawings with no dimensions are just pointless.
