Weird True Position

Hi,

I just saw a weird true position GD&T callout that I have no idea how to interpret.
I think it might have been something valid 30 years ago? but everything i've learned about GD&T tells me this makes no sense.

The Feature Control Frame shows True Position | ± .010 |
No datums. instead of a total tolerance, it shows ±, and it is to a plane instead of a diameter.

Can someone help interpret exactly what this means? Or did the engineer who made this make a mistake?

Thank You,
Nixon Uruchima

Maybe angularity would work, too? It would need a datum, though, as would profile in order to not just be form. I think the best option would be to talk to the engineer, if you can, to determine intent.

You need to be able to get your hands on "ANSI Y14.5M-1966, Dimensioning and Tolerancing" as I believe this was the last revision that had tolerancing like this.

I've been unable to find it to download, but I found some libraries 1500miles away from me that have it. Haha.

Best of luck.
