Point Recall with LOOP

I can not try it, but it seems legit. If i am understanding it, then you create loop for Polar distance characteristic.

Only problem is that, you can not use scan to obtain points, only by single points ( with scan you cannot guarantee that points will be opposing each other.

For pattern - perhaps with some play with loops it can be used, but it must by tried.

If you want to scan and do wall thickness, use Curve, and then the Curve Distance tool. It even gives you a nice form plot. 🙂

Yes, but I wanted to showcase the LOOP function.

I have a question on this. Do I have to go a full 360° to have this work. I have a part with a large rad, but it is only about 1.500 long. I have a slot in the center that has to be on center with both the OD and ID of the part and it is called out as a wall thickness, both sides. Will this work with 5-10 degrees of arc? Thanks.

No problem. You have to make final characteristic as LOOP - so you have to make loop length as number of points on cylinder/circle.
If you keep same number of points and it's angle same on both features, then you will get thickness.
