[No...]
You don't. New versions have new features that the older version doesn't know about and therefore can't handle. So even IF it was possible you would probably end up with a crippled and ususable program version. But it isn't. There's a trick that was described somewhere around here where you edit the version string of the program and can then load it in an older release. But that doesn't eliminate the issues described above and only makes sense for minor revision jumps. I wouldn't recommend it in your case.
[Ab...]
Calypso is not backward compatible, so program made in new calypso cannot open in old calypso
[Mi...]
If you have multiple CMMs it's more important for them to all be on the same version than it is for a few to be on the latest, for this reason. In your position I would consider downgrading the 2022 machine. If you want programs to work on both CMMs, write them in 2018. There are workarounds posted on the forum on how to possibly make it work. But, they come with warnings. If anything was used in 2022 that doesn't exist in 2018 like variable strategy editor, the fancy navigation stuff to break up patterns, 2 Point distances on a symmetry plane, etc... the program still won't open in the older version. If you find and follow the instructions to open it in an older version, I can also warn you that many program settings that you won't even think of tends to get reset, like the Outlier mode sets back to version 3.8 when it calculated differently. Who knows what other settings change... so there is risk.
