[Mi...]
Base Alignment features = green Secondary Alignment features and in Characteristics = green However if I want to test an individual feature sometimes Datum A (plane) or Datum B (id cylinder comprised of individual feature circles) will run again, this is time killing along with an occasion probe crash after running Datum B since the machine is not following menu selections in RUN (I have a move point in Z+ that is being ignored) Order of Run = Feature List Navigate Feature to Feature = Use Position Points Only Base Alignment/Use Current Alignment (Clear Existing Results not checked) I should have the 6 DOF with just the plane and cylinder. I also added to the both the Base and Secondary alignment a Planar Rotation with no change in how the program runs testing individual Features. [De...]
I usually use the safety cube unless there is a reason for not doing that, but that's always situation based. I use position points only when necessary, but to be fair, I don't do High volume stuff all that often. Haven't really had an issue with collision executing single feature or characteristic. [Mi...]
Thanks, I usually use the clearance cube as well, right now the "solution" is to just set feature alignment as BA, hit F9 to prove the feature and then switch back alignment to -A- -B- and run the program in CNC mode. [Ro...]
Are you executing the feature or the characteristic? If you execute the individual feature it should only do that 1 thing, if you execute a characteristic (say distance or TP) it will do everything that makes up that characteristic.
