[Ra...]
Hello, I'm new in the cmm world, thanks for your understanding. The probe is looking the hole on the wrong spot as you can see on the picture #1. I don't have any other problem on the other dimensions. I tried to modify the parameters as showing on picture #2, but it requires to move the Y dimension about .250. It is too much. Do you have recommendations about how to fix this issue? I have attached multiple screen shoots trying to explain my point. Thank you,Drawing.PNGFull picture.jpgCMM LOOKING A HOLE POSITION.PNGAll features.PNGAlignment 1.PNGPic #2.PNGPIc#1.jpg
[ni...]
Hi, You could mesure the position of the tap or a point on the plane C with the same position of the head, to see if your styly is ok. if not make a calibration in the same position. or , go to the strategy of your cylinder to see if their is a position point or something weird, or create a new cylinder and try to mesurer it ... [De...]
Check the radius value of you stylus at that angle. also check the sigma and the X Y and Z values for that stylus in that orientation. Make sure the values make sense. check points on the various planes and make sure the values in the direction you are checking make sense. It might be that relocating the reference sphere with master probe, requalifying the stylus, and realigning the base alignment fixes the issue. If not, knowing if everything in the Y direction is where it should be will help narrow down what is happening.
[Ju...]
What's your retract distance set to on this feature? You could also right click in the Y Nominal box and use a formula to specify a certain distance from the front face to look for the feature.
[Da...]
It looks like you have it set as an outside cylinder, click on the icon to change to inside.

[Mi...]
Please sign in to view this quote. It's almost like the symbol is awful and hard to tell which is currently selected.... They should show the probe to help the user know which side it's on.. Oh wait.
