[Mi...]
Very sorry to pester you all. One of our Techs crashed the CMM in the -Z- access. He should have gotten me to ask for help at that point. He was pressing buttons and said after the crash the joystick it was in the Z minus direction when moving the joystick in the Z plus direction. I shut everything down. Also closed out Calypso. Wanted to try to rehome the CMM. When I turn the CMM back on the driver aren’t coming back on. On the box is says not supported when pressing the drive button. Also made sure the E-stop wasn’t pressed(that was one of the buttons he was pressing). The control box software almost doesn’t seem like it is getting to the point where it should be able to turn the drives on. When the CMM is on there is only a purple light flashing on the head. My main feeling it is passed the Z limit switch. i cant figure it out.
[Da...]
What sensor is on the machine? An XXT is quite sensitive and can be damaged more easily than an VAST XT or Gold. Maybe the sensor died.
[Mi...]
it is a Vast XXT
[Mi...]
I took the stylus and Vast XXT off the CMM. The Vast was getting close to the granite.
[Da...]
In an XXT are two fine leaf springs that can be damaged. Could have been that.
