[Ti...]
I have two contura's that are identical in setup, size and capability, and last night I realized one of the styli on one of my machines has a bigger (Ø5mm) extender than the one on the other machine (Ø4mm). Company is buying me another Ø4mm extender. I'm hoping that it just needs a simple RDS-CAA re-qual after swapping them out, but will the marginal weight difference between the two extenders foul something up and confuse the machine? It's my understanding that this is how the machine confirms it has the right tip loaded. Both machines occasionally do the "multiple attempts at picking up the same stylus" issue where it's not sure it has the tip loaded or not. It's not egregious but it does happen and I'm a little concerned it'll get worse when I swap out the extender on the one machine or just flat out refuse to acknowledge it's there from the weight difference. I putzed around the stylus settings to see if the weight of the tip was recorded anywhere and I couldn't find anything like that. Thank you for your time and replies.
