Creating line with no features

Hello Zeiss Community,
I have a print that requires an angle measurement from a center line on the X axis a bolt hole circle. I've created a 3d line in the Y axis using two bores but X axis has no features I can use. Any advice on how to approach this work be appreciated.

Thanks,
Simon

If you have fully restrained base alignment, then create theoretical 3d line. It will line up with base alignment

would a theoretical feature work if you created a line at the center point of your Bore pattern?

Thank you,
Can you point to me to any guides about theoretical features? I never used them and I haven't had much luck searching the knowledge base or calypso online help. I can create a 3d line and select "theoretical feature" but I don't understand how to define the length and ordination of the line.

here is a basic example, setup the base alignment to use the 3d line you originally created for your rotation. 6639_16507dc9d96bbf015144df76b14c506f.png
then setup theoretical 3D line, you can adjust its position with the nominal values and change the depth of the line to make it longer/shorter. also you may need to play around with the A1 X/Z / Y/Z so your line is sticking out in the correct direction in relation to your XYZ of your base alignment. 6639_ccd3248194ff366e62f1866187864d3a.png
