Problem with constructing diameter form sphere intersection.

I need to construct a 17.5mm diameter. From a plan to a 21.0mm sphere intersection.
I have never done this before and not sure how to do it.

many thank 🙂

Just did this in planner. Measure the sphere. Create a theoretical plane
at the center of the sphere (Z zero). Move that plane up 5.80409mm and
intersect it with the sphere for the Ø17.5.

Do you mean you need to find the plane where the intersection is ⌀17.5 or you need to find the diameter of the intersection of the sphere and a plane 5.80409 from its center point? Either can be found using a Result Element and some basic trig.

You can place theoretical cylinder of defined diameter into center of a sphere and make intersection to get point, or with shell to get circle.

This is my method too, can't remember where or when I learned it, may have been you.
No math involved when using this method.
If the circle diameter is on some tilted axis, create an alignment then the cylinder to that alignment.

I not either. But it makes sence since this with TED radius/diameter will tell you exact position on a sphere ( made from geometry of course ).

We had similar problem on a part, where you had center from a circle and rotation was stopped by a point on a further side ( like a pin )
