Typical cylinder position option.

For a typical cylinder position callout with no projection, is it more appropriate to pick tolerance feature as center line or tolerance feature with ref length?

For Position, I usually measure cylinders as circles, so there's less room for projection error.

That answer also depends if you're working on an ISO or ASME drawing

Great point. OP, you can also measure the cylinder using multiple circle paths, and then create an intersection of the cylinder with a plane. Calypso has no problem with true position of an intersection.
