[Aa...]
In Calypso, one has to manually qualify new styli. In that process, one selects the mode and sets the measuring force and A and B angles. Once a stylus has been initially qualified, it can be re-qualified automatically using a probing system qualification characteristic in a measurement plan. The mode is selected in the characteristic, and obviously, if one is re-qualifying an existing stylus, one should not be changing the angles/vectors. Is the measuring force simply inherited from the most recent re-qualification?
[Ju...]
From my understanding, measurement force of an individual stylus is controlled through the Stylus system management window.

The choice is only to do Passive or Geometry Re-Qualification However, the angles of the reference sphere may prevent a stylus from being qualified due to lack of sufficient coverage. [Ch...]
Probing Force and Probing Dynamic are inherited from the original qualification for all measurements performed by said stylus. They are set to be the default for that stylus, however within individual measurements you can program CALYPSO to deviate from this default on a case by case basis. This is done in the Measurement Plan Editor Features.
