Today we had an outage at work and after it came back on, the O-inspect came back up like normal, but as luck would have it, it went out again. After that time, the CMM would not connect the drives. We would initiate it by hitting the button on the panel, but it would cut back off after a second or two.

We tried:
-moving all the axes to the middle to make sure they werent against their limit switches.
-powering off and back on multiple times
-trying to reset the switches on all the motors
-tried holding the drive button as if that might help (lol)

Nothing worked thus far. Trying to turn on the drives only lasts for a second or two with a green light and then it cuts back off. Any ideas how to keep the drives on?

The "R" icon in the second image indicates that it does not like something with the Rotary table. I would first shut down the PC and CMM controller, then restart the CMM (leave the PC off, eliminate one variable). If you have a rotary table I would check it, try to home the rotary table, etc. If you dont have a rotary table...the machine now thinks you do, so that may be a bigger problem that might need someone from service to interact with the controller, it may have been messed up by the outage.

Check to make sure that the locking pin on the rotary is not stuck.

How does one do that? It is a side load rotary table instead of being built in to the glass table.
