[Mi...]
Bit of a side topic here. Most of our parts now are laser marked with a serial number and a 2D matrix. On the production floor we have stationary readers that can read, grade, measure location. On the CMM I'm looking to get a handheld keyboard wedge that will simply scan so we can stop typing serial numbers into CMM's for part identification, the problem is, there's a million of them. Anybody have experience with these? Brand recommendations?
[Ke...]
Of the scanners I have run into in the field, the easiest to use and most robust I have encountered were from Zebra. They offer wired and wireless options, and have a very forgiving scanning depth and angle, as well as being able to handle a variety of lighting conditions and lighter or darker barcodes.
