Forum running very slowly ?

For the past couple weeks, the forum has been running very slowly. It became unavailable at times. It also required an account verification the other day. Any feedback on what's going on???

Yes 504 Gateway timeout.
I am here almost daily - more than a month this is occuring.

Underpaid employees or what?
I am wondering why we still don't have access to knowledge base in Europe.

It's not just me?! 🤣

I have noticed a reduction in speed since I was unable to access the forums for a few days about a month ago. I wonder if they switched servers or something? Some days it is okay and others I can do a couple of laps around the shop floor waiting for a page to load when I'm not hit with the occasional 504 gateway timeout.

At home i'll try VPN - but basically those IT things are mostly done by restricting IP ranges.

I posted this yesterday and today the forum is running quite fast. Do you think they didn't know it was running slow? It was fixed overnight 😱

We are aware that there have been some interruptions in access and slow response times. Our team is working on this to improve the reliability. I am not aware of the full impact but there was an update to a core service of the ZEISS PORTAL a few weeks ago that appears to have an unintended impact on the ZEISS Community Forum. Our team in Oberkochen is actively working on the issue.

FYI - Your locale is not impacting the service and utilizing a VPN will not produce a change. The impact is seen even for our internal users.

VPN was not meant for 504 Gateway, but for access to knowledgebase pages.

Just tested free ProtonVPN with USA ip - no luck still "Page not found"

Had trouble accessing the past couple days, Today (Saturday Apr 27) its running nice and fast.
Possibly because im the only one on here.....
