Yes, it went from an older Contura (2016) to a newer Contura (2022).

Edit:
From VAST XT Gold to VAST XTR Gold

I edited my post above to reflect:
From VAST XT Gold to VAST XTR Gold.

Even though, I have imported PCF files without issues.

But I have imported about 6 pcf files this way without any issues, about 2 months back.

If the plate registered is an XTR, it will not allow you to import into an XT or normal VAST head.

The other way should be possible though as the XTR will accept both plates.

Would you be able to share the PCF with me, so I can test?

Thanks.

Component information is saved in PCF files. You must always make sure the component information matches between the systems you are looking to share PCF files between as shown in this example image. 822_e7431e6819328687cdf09b74d02a6215.jpg
You are correct that XTR systems can accept MT plates physically but this information comes from the controller of CMM and is not communicated via PCF file. If my memory is correct, in the eyes of CALYPSO on a CMM with an XTR the component list will always show VAST XTR whether its an MT or XTR plate. So when dealing with PCF files coming from other none XTR systems CALYPSO only sees that the two don't match and wont allow the import. This has been the case since CALYPSO 2019 I believe however I can't say I recall how it behaved back in CALYPSO 2016. Hard to say how it worked for you two months back, I've been wrong before but hope this helps clarify.

Here is the PCF imported into a new contura XTR in 2022.

Does this work for you now?

I'm not certain. I thought that it was possible to go from an XT to an XTR with no issues, but the other way is not possible (without an unknown workaround).

I didn't do anything special though.
