you are only reporting value of profile - from my posted image i'll take "Bilateral asymmetric" for ISO and ASME 1994 - you report only 0,4 - basic 0,3 is only for showing how to setup asymmetric profile

So if I understand correctly. The tolerance to the left of the U goes into material on my
OD part? In my case the surface profile is: 0.025 U 0 A. Meaning the surface can get
smaller by .025. Then the inside/outside switch is?

There is no reason for the inside/outside switch other than to confuse people. The ASME interpretation is that the value to the right of the U is the amount outside.

So in your case it would be an Bilateral with unequal distribution. Tolerance = 0.025. Tolerance (one side) = 0. Outside switch (which I believe is the default).
