[Aa...]
Calypso has temperature compensation functionality built into it. Workpiece temperature compensation is fairly straight-forward. To be used, before a measurement plan is run, it has to be turned on, and a CTE must be specified, and a selection may be made with a listbox for which thermister(s) to use. The machine has a magnetic thermister wired to it for placing on the workpiece at the start of the run that measures the temperature to use. Our first Micura came with one thermister wired to it. Our Second and third Micuras each came with two. On our first machine, the only option in the listbox is "1". For the other two, the options are "1+2", "1", "2", and "1-6". These options perplex me. If I select an option with more than one, which thermister's temperature will be used? Some sort of average? Why is there a mysterious "1-6" option if there are only 2 thermisters?
