[Se...]
Hi all, When measuring the same Hemisphere at 8 positions on the Rotary Table, each position a copy and paste, all positions work perfectly fine, start at the equator at X+, helix scan upwards. The exception is180deg from the start, where the probe drives down when starting the helix scan, for no apparent reason! Can anyone explain what’s happening please? Tried inverting the vector, definitely not, tried putting a CMM move point, machine positions correctly then dive bombs again! Very frustrating as all values/CP’s are identical (copied from previous, working feature)!
[Ch...]
Are other programs having issues at this same 180 location or only this sphere program? Maybe the RT Axis needs to be requalified. Does it do the same with circle paths instead of helix scans?
[To...]
What clearance plane are you using? Does your clearance cube cover all 8 positions?
[Se...]
Clearance cube covers all positions, the exit/entry through the clearance cube looks correct, it is only when it goes to ‘touch on’ for the start of the helix it goes South! Using circle paths it is fine, this is what I have switched to now! Other programs don’t have this problem, but then again they don’t use helix’s.
