[Ch...] Posted March 19 Share Posted March 19 2d curve should work as well. Intersection should be fine. If the the geometries are at the end are 3D features, e.g. planes or cylinders, the choices of intersection points might get confusing. If you use lines in stead from your section for example, they tend to produce more stable intersections in my experience. The reason for a required minimum of three measured points in relation to a nominal point is that the software employs a designated zone or search area to interpolate actual values. Ensuring the presence of at least one measured point preceding and another following the probable proximal measured point aids in preventing inaccurate interpolations. When ambiguity arises regarding which nominal point has 'custody' of a specific measured point, the inclusion of additional measured points can be instrumental in resolving the ambiguity. . .
