I have successfully installed a status light via usb cable to a computer driven by Calypso. It was close enough to the CMM to function as such. However, I haven't installed an andon light directly to a CMM that takes signals from the C99 controller or from the movement of the CMM.

Is the goal to trigger green or red based on inspection results, or is the goal to signify moving/paused/stopped?

Machine is running, stopped or in error state. Though lack of error state is not a deal killer.

Tom did you get this working? Have been investigating a similar solution so we can have notifications both in the CMM room and outside of the area for issues but Zeiss is only offering the stack light mounted on the machine. I've found multiple companies offering USB and networked solutions for the lights but am currently stuck at how I could integrate this into Calypso.

Those who have PCM and want to play.... (use at your own risk!)

if (inspectionToleranceState("outOfTolerance") > 0) or (inspectionToleranceState("noResult") >0) then
\\red light status
else
\\green light status
endif

If you are looking for controller status (traffic light) then this will require a quote for Service as this requires connection to the controller. If you are looking for CALYPSO inspection result status, the easiest solution is to use PCM to execute an external file call that controls the light signal. Bruce dropped some bread crumbs on where to start.
