Program specific user privileges

I know Calypso has user based privileges where different users have different privileges. Is it possible to have certain programs or folders of programs that can be modified by all users and other programs/folders can only be modified by the Master account?

I do not believe so, but also this sounds dangerous. Why would you want people to change some programs and not others?

We have some programs that run on fully machined parts that are very reliable, those I do not want tweaked by most of the operators, we have ran into people changing things in the program instead of looking into the part or the setup. But we also have some weldments and formed parts that are less reliable and occasionally need adjustment.

2 options I see:

Create another User, protected by a password. Allow that user to edit programs, only give the password to trusted people.

OR

make sure the default user cannot save or execute modified programs from other users... Then when you're programming offline create a user account with the same name, and save the programs you would like to allow them to modify with that username instead of Master. When that program is moved to the machine it should allow them to edit and save as it's the same username

I do the second one so our QA people can create and save mini-plans for non-production sorting programs.
