[Wo...]
Hi, I have an issue with simulating XTR probehead. When the stylus system rotates while simulating the plan, the "stylus system" cad view stays in the same place, its not rotating. The probes stay on the same axes as they were before rotation. If I switch to show "Show stylus", the stylus is displayed correctly. Is this a bug or its something not implemented yet? [Me...]
I have the same issue with my Planner. It seems like it is a glitch. What I do to correct it is , close out the simulation probe, then change to your #1 Down probe (If that is how its setup) and then re-open the simulator and re-run your program/feature. [Ri...]
Not sure if anyone has tried this, but have found a work around to the XTR not displaying or rotating the Stylus in Planner. When creating a Stylus for an XTR you have to choose the "Adapter plate XTR" for your probe build and ordering needs. What I found is swapping the "Adapter plate XTR" to "Adapter plate rotatable M5" (Standard XT plate) I can now see the probe in use instead of just a generic stylus tip when "Measurement Plan Simulation" is active. I am going to build my SSC files for the Live Program with "Adapter plate XTR" and save a second set with "Adapter plate rotatable M5" for Planner only. If I name my probe build "Combo1" for live running and name it "Combo1-OL" for Planner (Off Line) swapping probes in the program is a simple replacement task. I have tested this in Calypso v2022 (7.4.1604).
[Ri...]
More info. If the "Measurement plan simulation" dialog box is closed and you start the process, you will have to set the stylus to the any one of the articulations. Typically I select #1 (Z down). Leaving the "Measurement plan simulation" dialog box open from that point and all probe articulations work as it should, Once you close the dialog box, you have to start over again by selecting a stylus.
