Probe position after coming out of the probe rack

I am trying to get my measurement probe to come out of the rack and and turn turn the down position. A0-B0. The rule used to be that the last position you qualified was the position it would come out of the rack and change to, has that changed? I just did a Calibration and calibrated the A0-B0 position last but it still came out of the rack and changed to a angled position.

Unfortunately, that has not really been the rule. It's more of a coincidence. The rule is "Whatever stylus is active when you close the Probing Qualification window, becomes the default stylus when picking up the stylus system from the rack. The reason I say it is more likely a coincidence, you probably just qualified it and then closed the window without returning the stylus back to it's A0B0 position.

Thanks for your response.
So during the Calibration program what would be the fix to make the A0B0 the last Active position so it comes out of the rack and changes to that position after every pickup.

Thanks, it worked for all probes except 2.
For some reason no matter how many times I change it they comes out in position A90-B0 (Rack loading Position)
thanks again for your help.

Are these RDS-CAA stylus systems? I believe they will not return to A0B0.

In the case of a non-RDA-CAA stylus system, if you have a valid stylus qualified at A90 B0, i.e. the Master Probe has a 2nd stylus for qualifying rack positions, it will not automatically go back to A0B0. It sees the 2nd stylus as a valid stylus and will stay at A90B0

is the 2mm probe qualified using RDS-CAA or is it separately qualified styli, i.e. 1-Z, 2+Y, 3+X, 4-Y and 5-X??? If RDS-CAA, I believe it will likely stay at A90B0
