New GD&T Library

CALYPSO 2023 introduces a new GD&T Library for form and location. The version is in the development process and has not yet been released for productive use.
The new GD&T Library can be activated for tests in CALYPSO 2023:
Tools / Settings / Miscellaneous / Licenses => "GDT_Engine_Beta"

Pay attention to the warning "only for testing"!
During the test phase, the previous and the new GD&T Library can be used in parallel in a measurement plan. After the end of the test phase (expected CALYPSO 2024), you have to select either the previous or the new GD&T Library for GD&T for new measurement plans.

To be more specific regarding to "freeform",
it can be selected for analysis in "surface profile" with version QA-STAT Interface 2.0.2.0 (7.6.00)
but it CANNOT be selected for 2.0.2.2, service pack1.

Starting to play around with new GD&T library and noticed that on a Roundness, Cylindricity, Flatness and Straightness characteristics, the default evaluation is not Minimum Feature (Chebyshev). It uses "Default" evaluation. Is there a place to set the "Defaults"?

Any news on the missing Freeform Surfaces option for Surface Profile?

Hey Tom,

I'll be honest, I never really thought about it until now, but doing some testing I haven't been able to find a way. If you press F1 in that menu, it says that default should refer to the feature's evaluation, but based on my testing that doesn't seem to be the case. I've also tried using save/load defaults and it doesn't seem to affect it either. As far as I can tell, I don't think there is a way, but I am doing some digging. If I find anything of use, I'll post it here.

Tom,

You cannot just look directly at the Feature Evaluation from inside the Characteristic like you did in the past.

You have to look at the Computation Method(s) by clicking on the lightbulb down at the bottom next to the Actual.
