[Ja...]
I'm trying to set-up an off-line station but keep getting an error message "Connection failed to stylus database. Details on this can be found in the log file SDCOconnect.log in the directory C:\Users\Public\Documents\Zeiss\Calypso\config\equip\Simulation" When I look at the file that the error message is referring to, there's nothing there that really helps me. Can somebody shed some light on what's wrong or what I need to do?
[Ky...]
Hello Jack, Usually that error indicates some issue with SQL. There are a couple things that can cause that. I'll start from the easiest: 1. Go to the search in Windows and look in the services and make sure SQL Server (SDCO) is started. If it isn't, try to start it. If you can't, move to step 3. 2. Try making a new config folder or machine tab and see if that can connect (sometimes it's an issue with the database itself, not SQL). 3. If all else fails, go to the control panel, remove all programs referencing "Microsoft SQL Server" and then reinstall SQL from the Calypso installation files (You will need the full version for this). You may need your IT for this, especially parts 1 and 3. Alternatively, if you have an SMA, it might make more sense to create a ticket for this? It can be a bit of a complicated fix. Hope this helps.
[Ja...]
Thanks Kyle. I'll give it a try and if I can't get it I'll talk to our IT person. If that doesn't work I'll open a ticket.
