[Jo...] Posted September 26, 2022 Share Posted September 26, 2022 Hi, Does anyone know what the air pressure on a Zeiss Contura 9/18/6 CMM should be ideally set to? I am super new to this CMM and I want to make sure my machine is running at an optimal level. I've attached a photo of what the gage is currently reading and want to know if I should turn it up/down. According to a Contura Spec manual, it states incoming air should be 6 bar max and 8 bar max if pre-cleaned. The sticker on my Contura 9/12/8 state 6 to 10 bar for air input. I saw an issue of the machine stopping from low air pressure due to the shop air supply being brought down by air grinding tools, etc. I don't know how common this is.
