Hello all,

I was wondering if anyone could identify what report this is? It uses almost a DNA strand. My managers really like this format but I cant seem to find it on our reporting system? We typically run 6 parts at a time. Could that be the reason why I cant find it?6115_ef9e1c72d535eafa3b701ef34d6f80a1.jpg

Hi Vincent.

The type of graphical plot that you are referring to is a line plot. In the PiWeb Reporting toolbar, it looks like this:

When you create a profile of a line characteristic in Calypso, the line plot is assigned to it by default. The "helix" resemblance comes from connecting lines between the deviations and nominals alongside the tolerance bands. You can also preview the plot using this button in Calypso:

Make sure that "Display Plots in Report" is turned on in the Characteristic Settings in Calypso. You can also adjust the magnification of deviations and other options here:

I greatly prefer to use the CAD Evaluation option in Calypso, because I can visualize the deviations directly on the CAD model, it's easier to show aspects like Min. & Max. deviations, and I am able to fine tune the graphic more naturally rather than needing to keep switching between Calypso & PiWeb:

Hi Shabu!

You can specify specific points to receive banners in the CAD Evaluation window. Banners can be designated in a series (for example, every 5th point), or you can pick specific points to receive banners. You can also click on specific points in the CAD window, but this is unstable and often gets frustrating 🤣 .

P.S. Where the heck have you been? You're basically in the Hall of Fame for this forum. You should stop by more often.
