Interpretation of position assessment

Hello. I have a question about the notation in the drawing. What is your opinion on the interpretation of the entry in the attached view? Base "A" is the plane, base "B" and "C" are marked circles. As for the 0.25M ABC rating, it's clear, I assess each circle separately, but how to assess the 0.1A record? You understand this by the position of the pattern of holes 1,2,3 or perhaps by the perpendicularity of these elements (the material is 5 mm thick).
Regards.

I am wondering how is tolerated "C" hole since it's obvious that 1,2,3 and C are making pattern/or should be reported as whole.
Otherwise it would be 4 x position callout for each hole.

Any comments on that?

Problem solved then. Each of the 3 holes has to only be perpendicular to datum A within 0,1mm.

Hi,

they are located from the others
For me you have to do with the three diameters a best fit with rotation and translation alowed

You are right with ISO 5458:1998, my bad I didn't asked OP all the details. I was assuming using ISO 5458:2018 version, where this would be Separate Zones.

Hello, maybe stupid question, but bestfit? When position is fully restricted?

He meant bore pattern where you can use translation and rotation bestfit.

I know, but when I use position, select bore pattern, select elements - three circles and tick rotation/translation, then I wil not get positions to reference system ABC right... I mean when I drill the whole three holes pattern 1mm from its nominal ABC position and tick rotation/translation, then still have beautifuly green results, but that is not what I want in this case right? Just asking...

Well if you want to report to fully restrained alignment ( ABC ) then you can not use translation rotation. Only if you have it without bases or drawing says something different
