[Se...]
Hi all, I would like to copy an existing feature and pattern it (rotated 18 deg’) around my current alignment, however I would like it to create a new feature in the feature list, and not suffix it in the existing feature. Anyway of doing this? Many thanks
[Ma...]
Would help by copying main feature - make pattern on that one, then create new feature and recall feature to obtain nominals. Then just copy strategy by tool.
[To...]
Please sign in to view this quote. 1 Create a secondary alignment for the 18 deg rotation. 2 Copy and paste the 1st feature. 3 Open copy. 4 At alignment dropdown, tick the Keep Position checkbox and then select the secondary alignment. This should rotate the copy to the 18 deg position. 5 At alignment dropdown, un-tick Keep Position checkbox and select Base Alignment. 6 Copy and paste the copied feature and repeat steps 3-6 until you have all required features. Alternatively, would be to create a secondary alignment for every rotation angle, choosing the appropriate secondary alignment. This would be a better solution if angles were not equidistant. [Ja...]
Another way would be to change the feature representation of the feature to cylindrical co-ordinates and copy features and change nominal A with the 18 deg increments for each feature. BTW, the option for feature representation is in the resources menu.
