CAD model modification to remove assembled components

I have a STEP file that has an assembly. I only need the plate and can't figure out how to modify the CAD to remove the components. see below the assembly and the plate I am trying to get. Any help is appreciated.

Select CAD (dropdown) - select Modify CAD Model.
You should be able to select & "Delete Feature" or "Hide Feature", as needed.

I never knew about this method. I've just gone into CAD > Creating Features > Hierarchy and deleted the entities I didn't need.

You can remove bad or unused sections to clean up cad models the same way. I use it all the time.
