Steifigkeit von tastern

Hallo zusammen.

I am not aware of any guide, but if you would like to post the stiffness result, and the components that the stylus is made from, including the diameter and length of any extensions, diameter and length of probe(ideally with a picture), I would be happy to take a look and see if the value seems reasonable based on experience.

Thank you so much Kevin!
The Stylussystem in question is a Star Stylus (2 to 5)
DG: 11mm
DK: 8mm Ruby
DS: 5mm
L: 75mm
ML: 62mm
Thread size: M5

And the extension

DG: 11mm
L:80

I think the material used is carbon fibre. 5666_26d8be5224ceab89a8496ed4e2aa6d41.jpg

And here is all the Data:

Our biggest Problem is that we have huge differences messuring a Part for our customer.
I had no problems when measuring with the calibration sphere or when checking the Stylussystem with an adjusting ring. We measured one part and it was fine but then the second part where we again had differences up to 0,4mm, which this time you could also see in the adjusting ring. But the clamping remained the same and we didn't change anything to the stylus system.

The only thing my co-worker did was to manually take the Stylus system out of the Head and put it back in. 😕

Those stiffness values all seem reasonable for those styli, especially as the values are all very similar for very similar probes.

Are those extensions recently purchased, or older ( years ago Zeiss extensions were wrapped in black, and recently with the introduction of the CFX extensions the CFX1 extensions are also black wrapped, making it hard to tell sometimes)? I would possibly try doing a dynamic tensor calibration (may require rotating the calibration sphere), which may identify some issues, and also try scanning a ring of similar size to the part you are having differences with, using the same settings (speed, points, filters), and plot the roundness.

Hallo Saskia;

Thank you all for all your input!

I couldn't find any direct errors and the measurement results were completely fine. I assume the problem was more with the clamping 😕
