Repeat measurement and trend protocol

Hello everyone,
a question.
I have written a test plan to test the stability and repeatability of the measurement.
For this reason I measure a test characteristic with 25 repetitions.
Only one measurement is stored in the PiWeb database with the test characteristic indexed from (1) to (25).
How can I display this measurement as one graph in the trend protocol?

I assume you want to report 25 different measurements of one characteristic. There are 2 components to this. A pattern and a loop. Right now, you're only using the loop which is going to report the 1 result 25 times. You need to add a pattern to the feature. Create a linear pattern with 0.000 for the distance between the features. Enter 25 for the number of items. This will measure the same feature 25 times. However, your trend protocol will show 25 line items of a single result.

The better way is to loop the program. Make sure no characteristics are selected. Right-click in the area beneath the last characteristic and select loop. Create the new loop, enter 25 for the End value and click OK. This will run the entire program, including the Base Alignment 25 times. Or. if you only want to run the 1 characteristic, select it and run "current selection" and open a trend protocol after and it will show you what you're looking for.

If you only want run the characteristic without running the base alignment, run "current alignment" and "current selection"

Hello Tom,
thanks, I have tested, a very good solution, especially if I have many characteristics, but only want to do the test on one characteristic.

  • 2 weeks later...
I recently constructed a Stability Test for a fixture.
I created the program and then used AutoRun.
Create a pallet of the iterations and let it run.
I had a set of three points, 20 hits per point. Each Point was a Pattern.
This gave me ten reports (Pallet of 10 in my case) of all 60 points from the patterns.
Output Excel reports and paste in an MSA Excel file.

Using AutoRun runs the program as if you ran it each time from Base Alignment, clearing data for each run.
