[Ri...]
Can you turn off the CAD window redraw? I have several measurement plans with upwards of 30 Mini Plans, these are parametric and involve many parts. When I have to edit a mini plan, and for example there are 10 characteristics I want to deselect, I have to wait for the screen to redraw for each characteristic. This takes up to about 7 minutes for 10 characteristics. My theory is, if I can disable CAD redraw, I could save time and perform a redraw from the menu or after its enabled later. No CAD model is in use. This is generated features only.
[Je...]
7 minutes for a CAD update sounds quite excessive. If the CAD model takes that long to load then it likely uses excessive system resources. Review if it is necessary to have the model loaded at all. You can turn the display off in "File > Load Settings" or through some CAD Load/Delete PCM prompts Try: Set to wireframe before mini-plan edit or CAD > VIEW > DELETE (CAD will update on next inspection open or redraw prompt)
[Ri...]
Please sign in to view this quote. I amended my post. "No CAD model is in use. This is generated features only." These parametric programs use PCM for Geometry/Probes/Styli extensively. One program might cover 30 parts. There are 5 measurement programs, approximately 120 parts are controlled by PCM altogether. Also note: The 7 minutes is approximate time to remove 10 characteristics in a mini plan.
[Co...]
Try CAD - Settings - Geometry - Untick all the boxes, also Model Display and uncheck display selected feature when your editing the mini-plan (keeps switching back on for me).
