[Ga...]
I'm using Calypso 2020 and am trying to export the report to a specific folder. I've done it in the 2022 version and without issues but can't get the same process to work in the older version. This is the process I use: Calypso Data Exporting & Reporting Conventions A) To export the report and data, go to “Resources” and in the drop-down menu select “Name for output files” and then “…for this measurement plan” B) In the “Output File” pull-down menu, select “PDF file PiWeb reporting” C) Check the box for “Name of output file variable”. That will turn on other input fields. D) The window is waiting for you to enter where the files are to be stored and how to name them. The name should include the following information: 1) Click on the “Directory” button and point to the directory you want the files to go to. 2) Copy and paste string; +getRecordHead("planid")+" "+getRecordHead("u_Purchaseorder")+" "+getRecordHead("u_Jobnumber")+" "+getRecordHead("partnbinc")+" "+getRecordHead("date")+" "+getRecordHead("time")+".pdf" 3) Copy the entire string including the directory. E) In the “Output File” pull-down menu, select “Measuring points” F) Paste the string in the empty box and change the “pdf” file type to “zmp” G) Click on “OK”. H) Go to “Resources” again and this time in the drop-down menu select “Results to file…” I) Find “PDF” in the list and click the “On” button J) Find “Measuring points” in the list and click the “On” button, and the number in the “Limit” box to 999999. K) Click on “OK”.
[Ke...]
Your steps look correct to me, do you have the "Multiple Reports" check box marked so that it is using the PiWeb report in 2020 instead of the old Custom Reporting?
[Ga...]
Where is that box located please?
[Ke...]
It is located in the Multiple Reports Menu. In the attached GIF I also show turning on the PDF output (since mine did not have PDF output of Piweb on by default), which may also be relevant to your issue. [Ga...]
Yes, multiple reports box is checked.
[Ni...]
seems like something is wrong. Seems like you already have "multiple report active" checked. Also make sure the PDF has a green checkmark. They're both highlighted. Then for the second window do something simple. For the directory choose your desktop. Choose the first option for "report header fields" and then file ending. I feel like this is where the issue might be in. But try it like this and it should send the pdf report to the desktop. IF it works then you need to fix your code.
[Je...]
Please sign in to view this quote. Post screenshots of your "Name for output files" window. Also verify that you are on the most recent SP for 2020. There was a bug in an early version before recent SP that prevented output of PDF to alternate locations in some scenarios. Additionally, if that is the same string you are using for all programs then you should set that up in "For All Measurement Plans" so that all you need to do is click the check-box in subsequent plans. [Ga...]
That works! Thank you. Gary
[Ga...]
I'm new to programming off the CAD model and I have an irritating issue. Lets say I wan to measure a point on both sides of a .030 wide slot, When I go to run the program the point is not even close to where I set it on the model. Not sure what I am doing wrong here - my part alignment is good, but the point misses the entire slot. Thanks, Gary

When you look at the nominal X and Y, are they rounded to one decimal place (X,X)? Go to Extras > Setting > Measurements and click the Nominal tab. Edit to show X,XXXX. Re-try taking points. [Ga...]
Thank you for that. I can't remember how to create a new post, can you help me with that too? Thanks for all your help. Gary

I suggest .000 clearance distance and use the following formula to calculate your retract distance (Slot width - probe diameter)/
